Sub Watch Privacy Policy

Information We Collect

• Google account information needed for sign-in, such as account name, email address, profile name, and Google account identifier.
• YouTube Data API information needed to operate the app, such as your subscribed channels, selected channels, public channel metadata, public video metadata, thumbnails, durations, and view counts.
• Local app preferences, such as viewer profile, filters, search source, auto-sync setting, playback speed, mute preference, subtitle preference, and selected channels.
• Playback and app activity stored locally, such as watch progress, last position, watched status, skipped status, search history, and cached channel/video lists.
• Billing status from Google Play, such as whether an active subscription exists and the purchase token or order information needed to validate access.
• Feedback you choose to submit, including typed feedback, speech-to-text feedback, app build, device category, and diagnostic context needed to understand the issue.
• Diagnostics and analytics, such as screen views, aggregated feature usage, selected setting values, app version, device category, error status, and performance signals.

How We Use Information

• To sign you in and keep the app connected to your selected Google account.
• To sync YouTube subscriptions or curated channels and show videos that match your selected profile and settings.
• To save local preferences, playback progress, and channel selections on your device.
• To check whether Google Play reports an active subscription, free trial, or promo-code entitlement.
• To receive and review feedback you send from the app.
• To improve reliability, performance, navigation, and product decisions using low-volume aggregated analytics.

Google APIs and YouTube Data

Sub Watch uses Google OAuth and the YouTube Data API to read YouTube account data that you authorize, including the read-only YouTube scope.

Sub Watch's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

You can revoke Sub Watch's Google access from your Google Account security settings at any time.

Voice Input

If you use voice search or voice feedback, Android or Google speech services may process your audio to create text. Sub Watch receives the transcribed text for search or feedback. Sub Watch does not store raw voice recordings.

Children and Curated Profiles

Sub Watch includes local viewer profiles such as Children and Toddlers so a parent or guardian can curate channel lists. These profiles are app settings and do not create separate child accounts. We do not knowingly ask children to provide personal information directly to Sub Watch.

Storage and Sharing

• Most viewing preferences, cached metadata, selected channels, and watch history are stored locally on your device.
• Firebase Analytics may receive aggregated usage and diagnostic events so we can understand reliability and feature usage.
• Submitted feedback may be stored in Firebase Firestore so Sub Watch can review user reports.
• Google Play processes purchases, subscriptions, trials, promo codes, and payment information. Sub Watch does not receive full payment card details.
• We do not sell personal information.

Data Retention and Deletion

• You can clear local app data from Sub Watch settings, Android app settings, or by uninstalling the app.
• You can sign out from the app to remove locally stored login data on that device.
• You can revoke Google access from your Google Account security settings.
• To request deletion of analytics data associated with your account or device where technically possible, contact us using the email below.

Security

We use platform storage and Google-managed services for authentication, billing, analytics, and YouTube access. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, but we limit collection to data needed to operate and improve the app.

Changes

We may update this policy as Sub Watch changes. The updated policy will be posted on this page with a new last updated date.
